Some of the same firefighters were called on to battle a fire that destroyed a home Sunday in Marlboro, police said.
On Saturday, July 23, at approximately 4:30 pm, we received an alarm call at 238 Boundary Road, a warehouse for the business Plasma Power & Systems Inc. While our patrol officers were in route to the scene, we received further information
The warehouse was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Boundary Road was closed between Vanderburg Road and Dutch Lane Road while multiple fire units worked to extinguish the flames.
The fire was put out at approximately 9:30 pm at which time the roadway was reopened. There were no injuries reported at the scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office. The warehouse was deemed uninhabitable.

On Sunday, July 24, 2022, at approximately 5 pm, Marlboro police received a 9-1-1 call reporting a heavy smoke condition and residential fire at 3 Hillside Terrace. As the patrol officers arrived, two residents were located outside of the house and advised that no one else remained inside. The home was fully engulfed by this time.
Harbor Road was closed between Route 79 and Tennent Road while firefighters battled the flames. The Monmouth County Fire Marshalls Office is investigating. No injuries were reported at the scene and the house was left uninhabitable.
